Prospects for geothermal technologies implementation over Chernobyl exclusion zone

The analysis of geological and geothermic conditions of Chernobyl city area has been carried out. It has been shown that the technology of geothermal heat pumps is the most suitable. The variant of decreasing consumption of natural gas by the Chernobyl boiler-house has been proposed. For this to purpose a geothermal heat pump is offered. Thermal power of one well equipped in the Eocene aquifer, considering the use of geother­mal heat pump may be 0.1-0.5 MW.
