USING MOSFET-TRANSISTORS IN SOLAR PANELS

Abstract

The work is devoted to the use of MOSFET transistors in the construction of a solar panel. It is assumed that shunting and blocking diodes are used for the correct operation of photovoltaic elements in solar panels and the operation of solar panels at power plants. It is shown that a more promising development of solar panel design is the replacement of such diodes with MOSFET transistors. Since such transistors have low internal resistance when switched on directly, their use is reasonable. The possibility of controlling an element such as a transistor in a solar panel, unlike a diode, is shown. Such control can be carried out from the internal voltage on the photocells and from external factors. The possibility of dynamic connection of photocells in solar panels using MOSFET transistors is also shown. It is shown that dynamic switching of parallel and series connections requires three elements of an electrical circuit, and an elementary circuit of dynamic connections is shown. The basic scheme of dynamic switching of photocells in a solar panel using field-effect transistors was constructed. A way to solve the problem of the presence of a parasitic diode is proposed. The use of two opposite-connected MOSFET transistors for dynamic switching is considered. It is noted that to control such a circuit, it is advisable to use programmable logic controllers that can control the switching using preloaded firmware. Using the example of two photovoltaic cells, a schematic diagram of a solar panel is shown with dynamic connections of photovoltaic cells and the use of transistor assemblies and control using a controller. It is noted that transistors for dynamic switching can be used as shunting or blocking diodes. This approach allows creating universal and maximally integrated systems. Ref. 14, fig. 9.
